Early Detection. Greater Awareness. Better Chances of Recovery.

Launched in 2016, the Cancer Screening & Awareness Programme of Artemis Health Sciences Foundation was established with a clear objective - to promote awareness about cancer prevention and the importance of early detection, particularly for breast, cervical, head and neck cancers.

Through this initiative, Artemis Health Sciences Foundation takes essential cancer awareness and screening services closer to communities that often face barriers in accessing preventive healthcare. The programme primarily reaches underprivileged communities across rural, semi-urban and slum areas of Haryana, with a major focus on Gurugram.

A key component of the programme is the deployment of a Mobile Medical Unit, enabling healthcare services to reach communities directly at their doorstep. This unit conducted community-based screening and awareness activities, including breast cancer screening and mammography, collection of Pap-smear samples for cervical cancer screening, preliminary screening, medical consultations and cancer awareness sessions.

Artemis Health Sciences Foundation has collaborated with:
• Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Early Detection (CAPED)
• YouWeCan Foundation
• Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA)
• Indian Cancer Society (ICS)

These partnerships have enabled the Foundation to leverage diverse expertise, strengthen community outreach and expand access to cancer awareness, screening and early detection services among underserved communities.

Beneficiary Stories

Mrs. Neena Jain, 68
A Journey Towards Hope

At the age of 68, Mrs. Neena Jain was diagnosed with ovarian cancer (CA Ovary) and was advised chemotherapy as an essential part of her treatment.

Coming from an underprivileged background, the cost of chemotherapy presented a significant financial challenge for Neena and her family. While she needed continued treatment, limited financial resources made it difficult for her to bear the expenses associated with her cancer care.

Artemis Health Sciences Foundation, in collaboration with the Indian Cancer Society (ICS), extended financial assistance towards her chemotherapy treatment.

This timely support helped reduce the financial burden on Neena and enabled her to continue with the treatment she required.

Mrs. Saroj Rautela, 48
Strength, Support & Hope

At the age of 48, Mrs. Saroj Rautela was diagnosed with breast cancer (Carcinoma Breast) and required radiotherapy as an important part of her treatment.

For Saroj and her family, the financial burden associated with cancer treatment posed a significant challenge. The cost of continued care and radiotherapy could have made it difficult for her to receive the treatment she needed.

Recognising the importance of timely treatment, Artemis Health Sciences Foundation extended financial assistance towards her radiotherapy, helping reduce the financial burden on her family and enabling her to continue her treatment.

Saroj's story reflects the impact that compassionate support can have on helping patients continue their treatment with greater hope, dignity and confidence.
